Multiplication of Two numbers = (HCF of the two numbers) x (LCM of the two numbers)
Hence, HCF of Two numbers = multiplication of Two numbers/L.C.M of two numbers

Q. Find the  LCM of   20 and 40.

Therefore the LCM of 20 and 40 is  (2 x 2 x 5 x 1 x 2) =40
Solve using short tricks:-
Step 1 : find the greatest number from them. 
Step2: check the greatest number is divicible  by the another number if  yes then greatest is   LCM
According to this problem  we can see  40 is  a greatest number and 40 is divicible by 20 then then the answer is 40.
